Scientists have officially determined that replicating dinosaurs with DNA would be impossible!

One can dream. Or perhaps one can have nightmares. Whether you think it would be cool to see dinosaurs alive again or not, it isn't possible.

Scientists discovered that the half life of DNA is 521 years. This means that any DNA older than 1.5 million years would not be usable. And since dinosaurs lived tens of millions of years ago, this rules them out.

After an organism dies, enzymes, micro-organisms and water break down nucleotides, which form the bonds in DNA. After 6.8 million years, every bond would be destroyed.
