In Saudi Arabia, women are allowed to fly planes but it is illegal for them to ride a bike!

For those that live in a society that is trying to push for more and more gender equality, it's hard to imagine what life must be like for people that are living in a very male dominated society.

For example, Saudi Arabia has certain laws in place that prevent women from doing many day to day activities without the supervision of a man. Of course, these rules are in place for religious reasons.

Here are some of the things that women in Saudi Arabia were unable to do in 2008 and earlier without the assistance of a man: Open bank accounts for children, enrol them in school or obtain school files, travel with their children, drive cars, and the strangest of all, ride bicycles. However, women ARE allowed to fly planes!

The conditions that a woman flies the plane is that a male guardian or chauffeur has to bring her to the airport, because she can't drive a car.

Cognitive dissonance is a mental condition resulting from conflicting ideas. The information that you already know is so important that your mind has a hard time reconciling new information that is contradictory or inconsistent. It is these contradicting thoughts that drive the human mind to invent ideas and beliefs that minimize the amount of dissonance. A creative person must be able to tolerate conflicting ideas and find ways that opposites can be connected in a new point of view. The inability to tolerate opposites is an emotional block that can be overcome with practice.

Memory : Getting People's Names

One of the main reasons why we cannot remember people's names is because we never get the name in the first place. This can be caused by a variety of factors. Maybe you never exchanged names, maybe the person mumbled their name, or maybe you were in an environment where it was difficult to hear. Whatever the reason, it is clear that you will never remember someone's name if you never got it in the first place.



If you didn't get the name because it was spoken too quickly, quietly, or incoherently, do not let it slide. Ask the person or the introducer to repeat the name so you can hear it. Then be sure that you repeat their name as well. Don't be nervous about mispronouncing a complicated name. The other person will be happy to help you say it (people like their own names and like to hear people use them). This will guarantee that you get their name correct and will reinforce it in your memory.



After you have gotten the name, you should try to repeat their name throughout the conversation. This will focus your attention on the name, which will make you remember better. If you can, you may also want to write their name down so you can see it as well as hear it. This will also give you a way to review their name at a later time.

As a professional baseball manager you are not really allow to lose your temper, especially since they are paying you good money for having someone to throw you out of every possible game.

The 1938 World Cup was Sweden's second qualification for the World Cup. In the semi-final match against Hungary, Sweden lost. Sweden's next match was the 3rd place match against Brazil. In that game the Swedes lost, and ended in 4th place for the first and only time in Swedish football history.

Trooper from the French "troupier" is the equivalent rank to private in a regiment with a cavalry tradition in the British Army and many other Commonwealth armies, including those of Australia, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand.

Today, most cavalry units operate in the armoured role, equipped with tanks or other armoured fighting vehicles.

Some armoured regiments without a cavalry tradition do not use the rank, a notable exception being the British Royal Tank Regiment which follows the naming conventions of it's fellow regiments in the Royal Armoured Corps.

On the other hand, a trouper is someone who works very hard, is very reliable, and does not complain when there are problems.
