Memory : Vitamin B

daily brain teaser

B vitamins are not naturally produced by the body and must be obtained from external sources in order to remain healthy. B vitamins include B12, B6, Thiamine, Roboflavin, Niacin, folic acid and others. These vitamins can be found in supplements as well a variety of foods such as fruits, vegetables, fish and eggs. Poor diet, drinking and smoking can contribute to deficiencies in these vitamins.

Studies show that a deficiency in B vitamins can cause greater age-related memory decline, as well as an increased risk factor for developing dementia later in life. Low levels of folic acid, may also contribute to depression. Vitamin B is also important for the breakdown of homocysteine.

Creativity : Brainstorm Rule: Defer Judgment

daily brain teaser

Deferring Judgment is a vital rule to adhere to when conducting a Brainstorm. To defer judgment, don’t stop to evaluate any ideas during the brainstorm and never ever say that an idea is stupid or won’t work. This rule will keep the momentum going and keep the group coming up with new ideas. Nothing kills the energy in a brainstorm faster than criticism. Not to mention that the person who offered the idea will feel embarrassed and will be less likely to continue contributing. There will be plenty of time after the brainstorm to go through all the ideas and weed out the gems.

Shooting down other people’s ideas is just a cheap way to demonstrate your own superiority. In reality, it shows your inflexibility and will make people not want you to participate in their future brainstorms.

Moscow street dogs display specialized behaviors that differentiate them from domesticated dogs and wolves: pack leaders tend to be the most intelligent rather than the strongest, and packs tend to deploy its cuter members first, as they are more successful in begging for food from people.

Mad or Sad Face? Humberto Machado Illusion

Mad or sad face ambiguous face humberto machado

I hope everyone had a fantastic and safe Labor Day weekend! But, it’s back to the grindstone for us working stiffs. Bummer. Then again, those bills won’t pay themselves, now will they?

Today, I have a pretty cool ambiguous face illusion drawn by Humberto Machado. Tell me—is this a mad or sad face?

Mad or sad face ambiguous face humberto machado

I have to admit that this one almost stumped me. It took me forever to figure out the mad or sad face illusion here! In reality, there are actually two faces in this picture. One face is just harder to see than the other one. You either have to look at the image just right or cover part of the image to see both faces.

You most likely spotted the sad faced man right off the bat. Finding the mad faced man, though, will be a bit trickier. If you see it, don’t spoil it in the comments! You can leave hints and clues, but try not to give it away completely.

If you liked this mad or sad face, don’t forget to rate it below!

If you liked this mad or sad face Humberto Machado illusion, head over and see if you can find both the swan and the squirrel!
