Spazy Croonerisms 19

A spoonerism is a pair of words that can have their initial sounds switched to form new words. There may sometimes be one or two connecting words (kick the stone & stick the cone, king of the rats & ring of the cats). Given the following definitions, what are the spoonerisms?

Creativity : Creative Smells

The following exercise will help you pick a scent that you can associate with being in a creative mood. Whenever you need to get back into that mood, you can use the scent to get you there.

Find an unusual scent and make it into a scent canister. Browsing the spice aisle at the supermarket is a good way to find new scents. The first step is to condition yourself to associate this scent with being in a creative mood. It will take several weeks to accomplish this. Whenever you are feeling particularly creative or mentally productive, take a whiff from your scent canister to associate the smell with your mood.

After a while, the association will be so strong that the scent will act like a trigger to help you bring out your most creative self.

Memory : Sensory Deprivation

The next time you are going to perform a task such as walking the dog, doing the laundry, or cleaning the dishes, put some earplugs in and do the activity without your sense of hearing. This will force you to use your other senses to complete the task, which will cause new associations to be formed. In addition, this will give your senses of smell and touch a chance to help out. Pay attention to how much information you usually get from hearing and what parts of the task are difficult without sound.
