Gretchen just returned from the beach, and told her brother Henry that she found three interesting types of shells. He asked what they were, and she answered with these rebuses:

2. Naughty Nice Naughty Nice

*3. Nice Nice Nice Nice

After thinking for a while, Henry says, “I get the first two types of shells, but didn’t you say you found three?”

“Now I know them all!” he laughs.

Memory : Short-Term Memory

daily brain teaser

The average person’s short-term memory can only hold 7 pieces of information for about 30 seconds. If you want to get something into your long-term memory, you’re going to need to remember it for at least 30 seconds.

This is probably why it’s easy to forget someone’s name moments after hearing it. The name only sticks in your brain for 30 seconds, and unless you do something to push it into your long-term memory, you are going to forget it.

To get more than 7 items at a time into your long-term memory, you can try the Chunking Technique we discussed yesterday. Repetition can also help.

But remember, having a limited short-term memory is a good thing! Imagine how cluttered your mind would be if you remembered every single thing that went into it.

Fun Tree Man Legs Illusion

tree man illusion

I’ve been posting some interesting photo illusions lately, and I have one more for you today. Today’s tree man illusion isn’t artistic or Photoshopped, but it’s just a fun photo with a clever pose.

tree man illusion

That tree really looks like a pair of legs on that tree man, doesn’t it? So much so that it could almost pass for a real pair of human legs, albeit slightly deformed ones. I’m sure the tree man has some acceptable legs of his own, but this fallen tree really gives him some sexy gams, doesn’t it? It’s actually a pretty cute illusion when he puts his shirt over the fallen tree. And, this tree man certainly seems happy with his new leg transplant!

What doe you think about today’s tree man illusion? Don’t forget to rate it below to help us keep bringing you the illusions you want to see!

If you want to see something a little more provocative than this tree man and his legs, make sure you check out the sexy gams fishnet stocking illusion!
