A group of climbers found a piano on Britain's highest mountain!

A musical mystery today surrounded Britain's highest mountain after a piano was discovered near it's summit.

Volunteers clearing stones from the 4,418ft peak were astonished when they discovered the musical instrument on Ben Nevis. An appeal has now been launched to find out how and why the piano came to be within 200 metres of the top of the mountain.

The piano was recovered by 15 volunteers from the John Muir Trust, the conservation charity which owns part of Ben Nevis.

The squad was removing litter and stones called cairns from the summit plateau when they spotted the top of the piano. Apparently you can find what you least expect in the most unexpected places around Earth.

Businesses lose $700 MILLION every Friday the 13th due to people's superstitions!

Businesses lose $700 MILLION every Friday the 13th due to people's superstitions!

The 13th is considered the unluckiest number out there, almost the exact opposite of lucky number 7.

Hotels don't have a floor labelled '13' because of people's superstitions. But the illogical fear of Friday the 13th is harnless, right? Being scared of a date on a calendar can't possibly have a negative impact on the world - right?

Wrong. The Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute claims that between $700 - $800 Million are lost every Friday the 13th because people are afraid to conduct business, travel, and purchase major items from retailers!

Other thanthe slasher Jason murders seemingly innocent people in the horror movies, Friday the 13th, you have nothing to fear on that day! Unless of course, you are a terribly unlucky person.

Ancient Greeks would carve out "Catch!" in their sling bullets!

Ancient Greeks would carve out "Catch!" in their sling bullets!

Before the gun, there was the slingshot. In ancient Greece, rocks or "slingshot bullets" were flung at enemies. These bullets were about 43 millimeters long and weighed about 105 grams.

Archaeologists discovered some of these rocks in Athens, Greece and dated them as being from the 4th century BC.

In a cruel or perhaps just ironic twist, the bullets were inscribed with the greek word "Dexai." This means "catch!" Or "take that!" Just in case the flying rock at your head wasn't message enough.

The first person to be photographed was a stranger getting his shoes shined!

The first person to be photographed was a stranger getting his shoes shined!

The picture was taken by Louis-Jacques-Mande Daguerre in 1838 in Paris, France.

It is called "Boulevard du Temple," simply named after the location it shot.

In the picture, shown on the right, one can see the man getting his shoe shined on the bottom left.

What's neat is that there were cars (carriages) travelling through the street the whole time, but because the exposure time was over ten minutes, the cars don't appear at all.

Neither do any of the people who may have been walking by. Daguerre was a French artist and physicist, and is most notably recognized for his invention of the daguerrotype process of photography, which was the first commercially successful form.

He is today considered one of the fathers of modern photography, but he was also an accomplished painter and a developer of the diorama theatre.

There is a geocache on the International Space Station!

There is a geocache on the International Space Station!

Geocaching is a recreational activity in which participants use a GPS received or mobile device in order to find hidden containers called 'caches'.

Typically, these caches are put in secluded parts of the world and national landmarks. Well, for the die hard geocache fan - you'll be pleased to know that geocaching is now 'out of this world'.

Geocacher and former astronaut Richard Garriott set up a cache 250 miles above the surface of the Earth on an object that travels at 17000 MPH. This object, of course, is the International Space Station (ISS)!

Richard Garriott set up the cache on the Space Station with the hopes that while space visits are becoming more and more frequent for astronauts, he believes that tourists will be able to head into space soon enough. He hopes that someone that goes up to space will be a geocacher like himself!

The cache is set up inside locker 218. Keep an eye out for it the next time you're hanging out at the International Space Station!

To lay the first cable for a bridge in China, they used a rocket!

To lay the first cable for a bridge in China, they used a rocket!

The Sidu River Bridge is the tallest bridge in the world as it is suspended over a 500-meter (1,600 feet) deep valley of the Sidu River. The bridge is 1,222 meters long, and cost approximately $100 Million to construct.

The interesting thing about constructing the highest bridge in the world, is that you have to get a little creative when laying down the cables.

Since there wasn't any machinery tall enough to bring the suspension cable from one side to the other, engineers had to use a rocket to lay the first cable!

If you're interested in how you would go about building the world's highest bridge, you should click the source to see a gallery of pictures following the construction process!

There's a drug in Africa that can help treat heroin, alcohol, cocaine and meth addiction! It's banned in most places!

Like any drug addiction, a heroin habit can be extremely difficult to break.

The body becomes physically dependent on heroin and if a user abruptly stops taking it, their body goes through withdrawal. This can be an extremely painful process.

There is a drug out there that is said to help with breaking heroin addiction as well as addiction to alcohol, cocaine, and meth. Ibogaine is a hallucinogen made from African plants. Its use has roots in Bwiti spiritual traditions.

This drug, with it's dissociative properties, is used to treat addiction. However, it is banned in many countries, most likely because of it's psychedelic properties. It is also used to aid psychological and spiritual exploration.

There’s a 21-foot, 50-year-old, 2370-lb crocodile in the Philippines.

A group of 100 hunters caught the giant croc, whose name is Lolong, last weekend.

It was caught alive and there are plans to use it as a tourist attraction at an ecotourist park, though currently, wildlife officials say that Lolong has refused to eat in days.

The hunters were looking for the croc after a farmer was killed in a crocodile attack.

Lolong is suspected of killing both the farmer and a girl who was killed in 2009.

However, some villagers say that the killings may have been caused by a different, even bigger, crocodile that has been spotted. Inspections of Lolong’s stomach found no human remains.

Read more about Lolong, the giant crocodile, at ABC News, Business Insider, and Slate.

A man came to own a boat known as 'Hitler's Yacht' and neo-nazi's offered him $500,000 for it!

After WWII, a boat mysteriously showed up in the United States. The yacht was unfortunately named "Hitler's Yacht."

There was no evidence that Hitler ever owned or even stepped aboard the boat, but this didn't stop it from creating a great deal of turmoil.

Alix Spiegel, who owned the boat, suddenly found that he was both very popular and very unpopular. A group of neo-Nazis offered him $500,000 for the yacht.

However, Spiegel was in no way a Nazi supporter. In fact, he gave the boat to a group of Jewish people so they could sink it and create a manmade reef. Sounds about right.

Leap Days DON'T happen every 4 years!

Leap Days DON'T happen every 4 years!

It's true. While most years that are evenly divisible by four contain an extra day, years that are evenly divisible by 100, do not contain an extra day, except if that year is also evenly divisible by 400.

That means that in a 400 year span, there are only 97 leap days, and not 100. Sound confusing? That's because it is. The calendar we use is pretty quirky.

While a regular year is 365 day, a full year is actually something around 365 days and 6 hours.

Thus, after four years, there are an extra 24 hours unaccounted for in the calendar.

To make up for them, February the 29th is added. However, the exact amount is not an exact 6 hours, but something like 5 hours, 49 minutes and 16 seconds.

To compensate for that, the calendar doesn't add an extra day to years that end a century, unless that year also divides by 400.

This means that the year 1900 didn't have a leap day. However, the year 2000 did, because 2000 can be divided by 400. If you live long enough to see the year 2100, you'll be able to tell your great-grandkids that OMG Facts explained to you why 2100 doesn't have a leap day.
