Stress : Three Happy Things

daily brain teaser

Unfortunately, people often get into a pessimistic mood where they can only see the failures and problems with their life. This can cause people to experience stress and its many negative side effects.

One way to become more optimistic is to take a few minutes at the end of each day to think about the good things that happened. These don’t have to be big events; it could be as simple as having a good sandwich for lunch. Record three of these happy things in a notebook, which you can review whenever you need a pick-me-up.

If you practice this exercise every day, you will get into the habit of recognizing the positive events in your life and forgetting the negatives.

Count the White Circles Optical Illusion

White circles optical illusion

I don’t know about you, but I’m in the mood for a classic optical illusion today. Lucky for us, I recently found such an illusion that I don’t think has been published on the site yet. Well at least I don’t think so. This white circles optical illusion is definitely simple, but it’s still a great illusion!

Check it out! How many white circles do you see inside this optical illusion? (Not including the half-circles around the perimeter.)

White circles optical illusion

Hopefully this white circles optical illusion wasn’t too hard on the eyes for you!

So, how did you go about counting the white circles in this optical illusion? Did you count each one individually, or did you count the circle in one row and one column and multiply for the answer. I hate to tell you, but no matter which method you used to find your answer, you’re probably wrong.

There’s a reason that this is called a white circles optical illusion, Now look at the image closely. Do you really see any actual white circles, or any circles for the matter? Or are your eyes playing tricks on you?

After further inspection of this illusion, you probably noticed that there are no white circles at all. There are just black crosses on a white background. Your eyes are tricking you by overcompensating and filling in the rest of what looks like circles. In reality, though, there’s nothing but white space between the black crosses.

Did this white circles optical illusion trick you? After you rate today’s illusion below, head over and count the white dots!
