On the Ledge Perspective Optical Illusion

ChristopherHassler2

Perspective optical illusions are rather interesting illusions. They are all about how you look at things. When perfectly posed, some photos turn into perspective optical illusions. From one angle, the subject matter in the photograph may look outrageous and impossible. But, when you step back and look at the image as a hole, you can see the bigger picture.

Today’s photo illusion is an interesting example of a perspective optical illusion.

ChristopherHassler2

At first, your eyes are drawn to the main subject in the photo—the man. Chances are, they are drawn to the end of the tunnel next, making it seem like this man is standing on a small ledge above a massive cavern.

This is a perspective optical illusion, though, so take a look at the rest of the photograph. After you take in the image as a whole, you can see that this isn’t a man standing on a small step above a cavern. Rather, it’ a man laying down on a road with a block at his feet at one end of a tunnel.

Remember—it’s all in how you look at things! A good rule, not just for perspective optical illusion, but for life in general, don’t you think?

Don’t forget to rate this perspective optical illusion below! And, if you love perspective illusions, head over and check out this perspective subway art!
