Why do New York and London have houses that are completely fake?

In major cities like Brooklyn, New York, and London there are entirely fake townhouses next or even in between real houses. Why?

These fake townhouses are used to hide plenty of the installations, such as subterranean chimney events, emergency subway exits, power chords, and a lot more.

They are all in plain sight, yet camouflaged and normally unnoticed within their architectural surroundings.

Most of them can be distinguished, for example, some of these have windows, and when you see every other house windows with the lights on at night you’ll be watching those fake townhouses with their lights off.

In case you have the intrigue, you can always ask Google maps, it will show you how different those houses are from the real ones.

There's a clinic in Canada that gives junkies clean needles and let's them shoot drugs! Why?

You're probably thinking - why is there a medical clinic in Canada that allows drug addicts to shoot heroin in their building.

Isn't that illegal? Well, Canada is a strange place, and the clinic is understandably justified when you understand why the clinic exists in the first place!

To start off, the clinic's primary function is to let drug users bring their own drugs into the building, and shoot up heroin in a supervised environment.

Tim Gauthier, a supervisor at the clinic said that "In case a participant overdoses or has a heart attack, someone is there to help. If we can intervene timely and quick, there's no reason anyone should ever die."

A second reason the clinic exists is to provide clean needles to users, to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS from users sharing needles with each other.

Vancouver has a huge heroin problem, and users are going to shoot drugs whether they have a safe environment to do it or not.

Therefore InSite, the clinic in Vancouver, the only one of it's kind, decided that they might as well make shooting heroin just a little safer because it's better than people shooting heroin and overdosing in the streets.

Listen here macho men of the world, there is a world record that has been standing for the past 33 years that needs to be broken.

You're a tough guy, you can do push ups without any problems - so how many non-stop push ups do you have to do in order to break the record set in 1980 by Minoru Yoshida of Japan?

You don't have to do too many, only one more than Minoru Yoshida. You just have to do one more push up than his record...of 10,507 non-stop push ups. Easy, right?

Maybe you can't do 10,507 - that's too many - so let's try something a little easier. The record for non-stop one finger push ups was set in 1992 by a man from Great Britain named Paul Lynch. He did 124 push ups - using one finger. Wow.

The Guy Who Created "Duck Dynasty" Starred In A Movie About Gay Porn

A decade before Scott Gurney created Duck Dynasty, he starred as a gay porn star in a 2001 movie called The Fluffer, an unmentioned but delightful fact in the background of the show's recent conflagration over Phil Robertson's homophobic comments to GQ. But it's not a secret either; The Fluffer, which was an independent film that played at the 2001 Toronto International Film Festival, is right there on Gurney's IMDb page.

I called Gurney Productions — which Gurney founded in 2005 with his wife, Deirdre — to ask for a comment. I was told no one gets connected to Scott on the phone, and I should send an email. (I did.) A spokesman for A&E also didn't immediately return an email requesting a comment.

Gurney's character in The Fluffer is gay-for-pay and a meth addict. He becomes the object of obsession for a male film student who gets a job as his on-set fluffer. It's dark! It was directed by Wash West and Richard Glatzer.

Kiribati, one of the smallest independent nations in the world, is located in the central tropical Pacific Ocean and has a population of just over 100,000 people.

Unlike continental countries, Kiribati is composed of 32 atolls, or ring shaped coral reefs. Because of climate change and the composition of the islands, as waters rise they are slowly disappearing into the ocean.

It is projected to be the first country to lose all of it's land to global climate change! Since 2008 the government has made efforts to preserve it's land, which haven’t been very successful, and evacuate it's citizens.

The president has beggied New Zealand and Australia to grant asylum to refugees. Kiribati has even begun purchasing land in other countries to move citizens to, most notably in parts of Fiji.

For those that claim reports are overblown, President Anote Tong has said, “To plan for the day when you no longer have a country is indeed painful but I think we have to do that.”

A blood feud consists of a long-running argument or fight, often between families or clans, in which if they hurt someone in your family, you have the right to hurt them back. In other words, you take justice in your own hands.

Sounds terrible, sadly, this is something that is still active in modern times.

In Albania, the blood feud has returned in rural areas after more than 40 years of being abolished by Albanian communists. More than 5,500 Albanian families are currently engaged in blood feuds.

There are now more than 20,000 men and boys who live under an ever-present death sentence because of blood feuds. Since 1992, at least 10,000 Albanians have been killed due to blood feuds.

Mutual vendetta may develop into a vicious circle of further killings, retaliation, counterattacks, and all-out warfare that can end in the mutual extinction of both families.

Often the original cause is forgotten, and feuds continue simply because it is perceived that there has always been a feud.

Twisted Christmas Tree

Santa joined me in the shop and we made a wooden Twisted Christmas Tree! It’s made from unfinished cedar so it even smells like a Christmas tree. It’s not glued together, so it comes apart into 104 pieces for packing or can be used as a puzzle. Below is a Parts List with basic instructions if you would like to build one of your own. Parts List:

50 Cedar Strips 3/4” wide x 3/8” thick x 14-1/8” long

2-Piece Stand 10” wide x 3.5” tall

1 3/8” Hardwood Dowel 26” long

1 Star

Steps:

1. Cut cedar strips in pairs starting at 14”, decreasing by 1/4” length for each pair. Save all pieces after cutting.

2. Cut 3/4” dado half laps in the center of each piece. (Be sure to do a test fit first.)

3. Assemble stand and dowel rod. (Note that dowel rod thickness can vary from the store so always drill a test hole for a test fit.)

4. Cross-lap each pair of cedar strips in the middle and drill a 3/8” hole through the center, then slide it onto the dowel rod. Continue until at the top of the tree.

5. Drill a 3/8” hole in the base of the star and slide it on top. Note that you may need to cut the dowel rod height to fit.
