In 1918, over 100 waiters were arrested for poisoning bad tippers in Chicago

This was all started by Michael "Mickey" Finn when in December 1903, was accused of giving drugs to the customers and robbing them in an alley after leaving the restaurant.

He was the manager and bartender of a restaurant called Lone Star Saloon and Palm Garden Restaurant which was closed on December 16, 1903.

This is the origin of the phrase "slippin someone a Mickey." His legacy didn't die there, though.

On June 22, 1918, over one hundred waiters were taken into custody over the practice of poisoning clients who didn't tip enough.

They each bought a packet of powder for 20 cents through the waiters union headquarters and referred to it as "Mickey Finn Powder." The powder would cause dizziness, headaches and could be lethal in some cases.

Music is broadcasted via FM-transmitter to the clubber's headphones. It's called "silent discos."

The style of clubbing is popular for music festivals, when people want to party long after noise ordinances would allow. Two DJ's often compete for the listeners, too.

The length and difficulty of the expedition made it necessary. However, Lewis and Clark did spare their best buddy.

Before leaving on the expedition, Lewis bought a Newfoundland dog named Seaman for $20.

Lewis and Clark became very close to the dog and even performed surgery on it's hind leg artery after it was bitten by a beaver.

At one point in the expedition, Seaman was stolen by Indians and Lewis threatened to send armed men after them to get Seaman back.

Though the expedition ate 263 dogs, Seaman was spared. We certainly hope that Seaman was spared from cannibalism!

To prove that people munch out of habit, they first ran a study in which they gave people stale popcorn.

People who said that they were regular eaters of popcorn at the movies were a lot more likely to eat the stale popcorn than those who didn't.

Another interesting thing they found was that when people switched the hand they ate snacks with, from the dominant hand to the other one, they ate less snacks.

In this study, people who ate popcorn with their non-dominant hand were less likely to eat than the ones who did it with their dominant hand. Our only question is... What if you're ambidextrous?

The family couldn't believe they had found their cat after such a long time!

The cat was in such good health that the animal shelter thinks that it hadn't been living out on the streets for too long.

The cat even made New York's mayor Bloomberg comment, who said that the cat showing up in New York just shows that everyone wants to move there.
