Creativity : Encouraging Creativity

Many people think of creative ideas as popping into the creators head like a light bulb turning on. In reality, this is rarely the case. Creative ideas are usually the result of much hard work over a long period of time. Even Edison’s light bulb, which is so often used as a symbol for the creativity, was only invented after thousands of experiments and over two years of research.

Because creative ideas are often the result of hard work, it can be difficult to teach people how to think more creatively. Often, it is more productive to change the working environment and make the conditions more conducive to creative thinking. Obstacles such as risk and deadlines or a lack of opportunities to explore areas that spark our curiosity can easily suppress creative behavior.

Memory : Why Improve My Memory?

You may be asking yourself why you should improve your memory and learning skills in this modern age of technology. You could always do a Google search to find information or plug something into your PDA to remember it!

On the contrary, good memory skills can help you in many situations where you don’t have access to recording technology. What if you think of a brilliant idea in the shower? Or while driving? Not to mention that memory skills can increase your confidence in public speaking (since you will have the speech memorized), and save you the embarrassment of forgetting someone’s name (you can’t very well dig out your PDA to remember someone standing right in front of you!).

The other problem with modern technology is that it gives you an excuse to let your mind get lazy and forget something. If all of your passwords, phone numbers, and schedules are in your PDA, what happens when your batteries run dry or you leave it on the bus? It’s impossible to leave your brain on the bus, so why not try to get more information into your head?

When You See it Creepy Illusion

Clothes shopping is not an idea of a good time to me. It’s boring, nothing ever fits, and it’s time I could use for other, more important things. I never really saw shopping for clothes as creepy, though. Until now, that is! After running across this creepy optical illusion, I don’t think I’ll look at shopping quite the same way. When you see it, you just might change your mind on shopping too…

When You See it Creepy Illusion

Can you see what’s wrong with this picture yet? It can be a bit tricky to find, but when you see it, it’ll most likely give you a bit of a fright. When you see it finally, it will probably freak you out a bit, and you probably won’t look at shopping quite the same way again. If you need a hint, take a look at the sleeves of the red shirts.

Do you notice something a little creepy there? Like a face looking out? Told you that when you see it, you’f be freaked out!

I know that there’s not really a face in these shirts, but I do wonder how this image actually happened. Was it just a lucky fluke? Did someone painstakingly arrange each of the red shirt sleeves to create the illusion of a face? Or, was this photo edited after the fact to make it appear as if there was a face peeking out at you? No matter how this creepy illusion was made, it’s still super creepy in my book!

When you see it, make sure you rate this image below. Then, head over and see if you can spot something hiding in this image!
