Stairway Art Optical Illusion

art optical illusion 1

Artists have always fascinated me. The detail that can be seen in some drawings is simply amazing, and some even look very lifelike! My brother is one such artist. He can draw super realistic portraits, landscapes, and almost anything else. I, on the other hand, am lucky if I can get a reasonable looking smiley face down on paper! So, it always amazes me when I see realistic drawings, like this art optical illusion…

art optical illusion 1

Now, you might be looking at this and wondering to yourself, “where’s the art optical illusion here?” True, it just looks like a drawing of a man walking up the stairs. It’s definitely realistic, with perfectly placed shadows, but a little realism does not an art optical illusion make, right? Of course, it’s all in how you look at things sometimes…

art optical illusion 2

When you look at this art optical illusion head on or from the other side, you can see that it’s not a man walking up the stairs at all, but a clever trick! It’s only when you look at the illusion from just the right angle that you see a man walking up the stairs. If I had the talent and know-how, I’d definitely paint this illusion on my own stairs!

What about you? What do you think of today’s art optical illusion? Rate it below and let us know! Before you go, you might also want to check out these drawings that leap off the page!

Today’s Daily Brain Teaser (Sep 24, 2015)

daily brain teaser

Nahco Cheese

I’m powerful enough to clean most anything,

Yet gentle enough to eat.

I’m used to make an explosion of sorts,

Yet can be found at millions of stores worldwide.

I can kill grass,

And even tenderize your meat.

I can clean up even the smelliest stench,

and soften your fabrics.

What am I?

Check Braingle.com for the answer.
