A Day of Visiting

Today little Frederick and his mother visited a school and a family. While they were there, they saw a band, checked out the litter, and noticed a sleuth standing nearby. Later that day, they watched an army and a troop for quite a while, and noticed they were standing beside a battery. As they were leaving to go home that day, Frederick and his mother saw a party just near the den and were indeed very happy.

What was happening here?

Vocabulary : Prepositions

daily brain teaser

A preposition links together an object with a phrase to act as an adjective or adverb. For example, in the sentence “She eats a jar of olives,” the preposition is “of” and the object is “olives”. Together they form the prepositional phrase “of olives,” which acts as an adjective, modifying the noun “jar”.

The prepositional phrase can also act as an adverb and modify a verb. For example, “The jar is on the table.” In this case, the prepositional phrase “on the table” is modifying the verb “is”.

Some of the most common prepositions include: about, above, across, after, against, along, among, around, at, before, behind, below, beneath, beside, between, beyond, but, by, despite, down, during, except, for, from, in, inside, into, like, near, of, off, on, onto, out, outside, over, past, since, through, throughout, till, to, toward, under, underneath, until, up, upon, with, within and without.

Underwater Hidden Faces Illusion

hidden faces illusion

Sometimes hidden objects can be found where you least expect it. We have lots of hidden objects illusions on the site, but new ones are constantly being added. (Because I like to keep y’all on your toes, ya know?) And, since I think you guys might be getting a little rusty, I have an interesting hidden faces illusion for you today!

See if you can find the hidden face in the ocean below…

hidden faces illusion

Do you see it? Or should I say do you see them?

There are actually two hidden faces in this illusion—one on each side of the image. The school of fish form the shape of the face and features of the face on the left. The divers form the shape of the face on the right. The bubbles on the lowest diver form the bridge of the nose, and the striped fish is in the perfect position to form part of the eye.

This hidden faces illusion looks like a photograph, but I can’t be positive. If it is a photograph, I’m thinking that it’s Photoshopped; I doubt everything would fall into place just so to form not one, but two hidden faces underwater! What do you think? Phtoshopped? Painting? Discuss!

Make sure you take a moment to rate this hidden faces illusion below! When you’re done, head over and see what you can make of this 13 hidden faces illusion!
