Axe body spray recently sent 8 kids to the hospital!

Axe body spray recently sent 8 kids to the hospital!

Let this be a warning against trying to attract females by using too much body spray. 8 Brooklyn kids were sent to the hospital after Axe was unleashed in a sixth-grade classroom.

It’s not clear exactly what happened, but it seems like it was a prank gone bad. School officials said that the Axe was unleashed by one of the sixth graders, and is now facing disciplinary action.

This isn’t the only case of Axe being too offensive. A Pennsylvania high school has banned it because a student was sent to the hospital there. In another school, too much Axe set off fire alarms.

The top Amazon reviewers get thousands of dollars in free stuff!

The top Amazon reviewers get thousands of dollars in free stuff!

Who said commenting on websites was a waste of time? Amazon has an invitation-only program, called Vine, intended to reward their top reviewers and keep them writing.

The reasoning for this is that a product will sell better if it has reviews - good or bad - so Amazon wants to make sure their top reviewers stay active.

Take Michael Erb, for example. He’s currently the number 1 Amazon reviewer. He’s gotten some really expensive things like a $500 laser printer and a $1000 spin bike for free. He’s written so many reviews (>800) that manufacturers have started sending him stuff directly.

Technically, the stuff he gets from the Vine program isn’t his. Amazon can hypothetically ask for them back, but in the years Erb has done it, it’s never happened.

And if you’re worried about bias, don’t be so much. Amazon has pointed out that people in their Vine program tend to review Vine items with less stars than non-Vine stuff.

Steve Jobs' childhood home is now a protected historical resource!

Steve Jobs' childhood home is now a protected historical resource!

The Los Altos Historical Commission has just voted unanimously to name Steve Jobs’ childhood home as a “historic resource.”

What this designation means is that the commission thinks the property has enough historic value to be protected. This means that any renovation sought to the property needs to be cleared by the city council.

Steve Jobs’ sister, Patricia, is the current owner of the property.

The now-historic home was the first place of business for Apple. That’s where Jobs and Steve Wozniak built the first Apple Computer, the Apple I.

There's a Scottish beer that's stronger than vodka!

There's a Scottish beer that's stronger than vodka!

A company called Brewmeister Brewey, out of Banffshire, Scottland has broken the record for strongest beer at 67.5% alcohol content per volume.

The owners had previously created a 65% beer the year before. After selling 6000 bottles around the world, their fans said that it was not strong enough, so they spent 9 months retooling their recipe.

The new beer, called Snake Venom has a different taste than their 65% Armageddon. The reason for it is that they tried to hide a strong alcohol flavor in Armageddon by making it more oily.

As strong as it is, Snake Venom isn’t a cheap way to get drunk. A 275ml bottle costs about $80!
