One of the oldest companies in America sold soap to George Washington and many other presidents!

Caswell-Massey is a personal care product company and apothecary shop founded in 1752 in Newport, Rhode Island, by a Scotland-born doctor named William Hunter.

It is one of the oldest continuously operating American retail company and the oldest soap and toiletries making company in the United States.

The main product categories it sells are soaps, fragrances, lotions, shaving products and toiletries, other apothecary-style personal care accessories, and bath- and fragrance-related products for the home.

This company sold soap to George Washington and many other presidents. They still sell the scents in the exact formulas today.

If you want to know how clean presidents felt back then, now you know what to buy!
