Creativity : Icebreaker: Punch line

daily brain teaser

Icebreakers are little exercises that help relax tension and loosen up a formal atmosphere in a meeting where you want to have creative ideas and group participation.

This icebreaker will have everyone laughing:

Break everyone up into small groups of 2 or 3. Give each group a made-up punchline. Each group now has 5 minutes to come up with a joke or story that uses that punchline at the end. The crazier the better! Here are some example punchlines:

1. And that is why you never let a cat go fishing!

2. That proves that elephants don’t like hot dogs.

3. Finally he said, “Sir, your computer doesn’t have a cigarette lighter.”

4. The moral of the story is, “Always wear socks!”

What you eat can have a large impact on how your mind operates. After all, the brain accounts for 20% of your body’s total energy consumption. The brain needs a steady supply of glucose throughout the day to keep in tip-top working order, so be sure to not skip any meals, especially breakfast.

Salads contain antioxidants such as beta-carotene and vitamins C and E, which help your brain stay healthy.

Yogurt contains the amino acid tyrosine, which is needed for some essential brain chemistry.

Fish contains Omega-3 fatty acids, which help prevent dementia and keep your brain working in tip-top shape.

Curry contains a spice called turmeric which can help prevent Alzheimer’s Disease.

Try to avoid junk food high in sugar and fat. There have been some studies that imply a connection between junk food and mental disorders such as dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and autism.

Impossible Object Table Illusion

Good morning all. It’s only Wednesday, and it’s already been an insanely long week! It seems like an impossible object sort of day.

I’m actually not sure what to call this impossible object illusion. It was just pretty cool and caught my eye…
Impossible Object Table Illusion

This impossible object illusion looks like a table at first glance, for lack of a better description. A table with a giant square hole in the middle and legs that come out of the table, but a table nonetheless. Look again, though, and you’ll see something that doesn’t quite work. The back table leg and the front table leg are actually the same. It passes through the giant square hole in the middle of the table. None of this is possible, though, hence…impossible object.

If you like this illusion, make sure you give it a nice 5 star rating below!
