Epitaphs

Below are four epitaphs (writing on gravestones). From the writings, can you tell the occupation of each person?

1. Here lies Mortimer Bibbs.

He took part of ours and gave it to big brother, but he always had good form.

2. Here lies Dirk McDuff, who toppled giants with weapons of steel. If only he'd heard his partner's shout before the giants found their revenge.

3. Here lies Suzy Smelt. She constructed many a bomb but mostly brought smiles to our faces.

4. Here lies Ethel Grant. She spent her whole life fighting with what she will now become.

Townswoman Replaces Past Residents with Dolls

Valley of Dolls

Ayano Tsukimi is from the small town of Nagoro, Japan.

What was once a thriving industrial town became a quiet sleepy village after the local factory shut down.

Tsukimi moved back to Nagoro after an 11 year absence only to find a ghost town where only 37 residents remained.

Tsukimi got the idea to make replacement residents with life-sized dolls after she made a scarecrow for her garden.

Ten years later and she has constructed 350 “residents” by hand.

Tsukimi says the facial expressions are the hardest part of the making the dolls.

She also remarks she is very good at making grandmothers.

Tsukimi likes to place the dolls to blend in with the scenery. She has set up a school, field workers, bus patrons, and fisherman. Tsukimi has no plans to leave her village.

Dog Head Optical Illusion

Some of my favorite optical illusions to post up on the site are the ones that have to do with animals. This is typically because they’re so funny or catch you off guard. For instance, did you see the nice rug optical illusion? If not, I highly suggest you check it out. There’s a dog hidden in the picture, but he’s not too hard to spot. Either way, judging by the comments, a lot of you enjoyed it, as well. Also, yesterday, I referenced a find the mistake optical illusion in my post, which led you to a page that was yet another animal optical illusion.

Today, as you could probably guess by the title, I’m going to present you with another animal optical illusion. Once again, this is an illusion that involves a dog and their owner. In the illusion, it looks as if the person in the picture had the head of a dog. Of course, this is just how they’re positioned in the picture, but it’s still quite funny. Scroll down to check it out.

Dog Head Optical Illusion

Now, that’s a pretty funny optical illusion. Don’t you agree?
