Want to eat less snacks? Switch the hand you eat them with! This is why it works.

Want to eat less snacks? Switch the hand you eat them with! This is why it works.

A psychologic study by the University of Southern Cal has found that subtle changes in the circumstances that you eat in affect how much you eat.

To prove that people munch out of habit, they first ran a study in which they gave people stale popcorn.

People who said that they were regular eaters of popcorn at the movies were a lot more likely to eat the stale popcorn than those who didn't.

Another interesting thing they found was that when people switched the hand they ate snacks with, from the dominant hand to the other one, they ate less snacks.

In this study, people who ate popcorn with their non-dominant hand were less likely to eat than the ones who did it with their dominant hand. Our only question is... What if you're ambidextrous?
