One of the most venomous Brazilian spiders made it to Britain and survived all kind of events!

The Brazilian Wandering Spider is one of the world’s deadliest spiders, and a British chef was almost killed by one. To make matters worse the spider was later inadvertently freed.

Deadlier than a Black Widow, famed for it's speed and aggression, this spider found itself on a ship leaving Brazil and headed for the far less tropic England.

It ended up in the kitchen of Chef Matthew Stevens’ pub in Bridgewater, Somerset. The spider, despite his name, Brazilian Wandering Spider, did not enjoy the cruise and arrived in a nasty mood.

After the spider bit chef Matthew, they tried to kill it! And this little fellow survived falling into a freezer, having boiling water poured over it, and being microwaved in a jar.

Later it was inadvertently released within hospital grounds when a Good Samaritan saw the poor spider unable to go out in the wild.
