Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko’s police recently arrested a man for clapping at a street demonstration.
Apparently Lukashenko has dictated a law under which nobody can clap in favor to anything that tries to go against his regime. Apparently the street demonstration was about this delicate subject.
Konstantin Kaplin, an unemployed man, was fined the equivalent of $200 for the offence, but knows he can’t have been guilty because he only has one arm! He says he was only watching the demonstration and trying to film it on his mobile phone when he was grabbed by the police.
Sadly, this has not been the only case where a man is taken before justice for this type of conducts, but it is in fact the only one hand man that has gone under such circumstances.
