The car industry, while it may seem like it has many brands, is actually owned by far fewer car companies.

For example, BMW owns Mini and Rolls Royce. Fiat owns Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Ram, among others.

Volkswagon has become a luxury car brand in it's own right. Long past are the days of it just being known for the VW Bug. While the Beetle is still in VW's line, it now has luxury vehicles like the Toureg.

Volkswagon also owns a number of other prestigious car brands including Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti. In short, only cars owned by VW are rapped about.
