A mother's breasts will adjust temperature to make sure the baby is kept warm. When she has twins, the most amazing thing happens.

Kangaroo Care - when a mother cuddles her diapered baby on her bare chest - has been proven to increase health and parent-baby bonding.

However, it turns out Kangaroo Care is more intricate than previously expected. In fact, a mother's body responds to the baby's body to make sure it stays warm.

More than that, if a mother is holding twins - one on each breast - she can moderate the temperature of each of them separately. And she doesn't even know her body is doing this!

In an experiment, researchers observed a mother Kangaroo Caring for her two twins. She held one on each breast. The researchers monitored the temperatures of both babies and both breasts.

They found that each individual breast adjusted it's temperature to keep the baby at an ideal temperature.
