The Japanese detected the planes carrying the nuclear bombs but decided not to intercept them!

On August 6, 1945, the United States used a massive, atomic weapon against Hiroshima, Japan. This atomic bomb, the equivalent of 20,000 tons of TNT, flattened the city, killing tens of thousands of civilians.

While Japan was still trying to comprehend this devastation three days later, the United States struck again, this time, on Nagasaki.

In 1945, Japanese radar operators detected a small number of incoming US planes (which carried the nuclear bombs to be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki), but decided not to intercept them as the small number of planes were not seen as a threat.

Maybe after this action, several countries now take it seriously even when they see just a few planes coming at them.
