There is a network of catacombs under Odessa, Ukraine – largely unmapped 1,500-mile-long tangle of corridors and rooms. If it were laid out in a straight line, the labyrinth would stretch five times longer than the world’s second largest catacombs, underneath Paris. In 2005, a girl got lost in the catacombs below Odessa after a drunken New Year’s Eve party her and her friends had in there. They found her two years later.
