Ancient Romans had tools like Swiss Army Knives! This is what they looked like.

Although the first Swiss Army Knife was built by a German company in 1891 is the most iconic example of a multitool, it wasn't the first one.




In fact, it wasn't even close to being the first one. The oldest surviving example dates back to the Roman Empire times.




Implements such as spoons and knives were bound together in knots of silver and iron.
