Giraffe Manor

Bringing the Safari to the Hotel

Giraffe Manor is an iconic hotel and landmark in Nairobi.

Giraffe Manor is just like your everyday luxury hotel: you have decadent suites, amazing amenities, tons of excursion packages, and oh yea, GIRAFFES!

The Manor was built in the 1930′s. In the 1970′s the Manor changed hands and was home to Jock and Betty Leslie-Melville who had a passion for the preservation of this particular threatened species of giraffe.

Rothschild giraffes roam the 140 acres of sanctuary that surrounds the Manor, but they make sure to visit for breakfast and dinner.

The giraffes are a welcome site at the Manor and can be seen “popping” their heads in from time-to-time.

Want to dine with the giraffes? Not a problem, just be prepared to share!
