One of TV's greatest sitcoms is coming to an end. How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that is currently in it's ninth and final season. Ted, in the year 2030, recounts to his son and daughter the events that led him to meeting their mother.

Throughout the seasons, we never see Ted's “kids” getting any older. How is it possible for a show that has lasted nine seasons to have characters that seemingly don't age?

Good planning, really. All of Ted's kids' scenes in How I Met Your Mother were filmed in the first season so they looked the same age throughout the show.
