In case you haven't heard, there exists an award ceremony for all things terrible in cinema.
It's been around for three decades and is called the Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzie Awards.
Every year, the Razzies precede the Oscars by one day, and very rarely do they get as much coverage or celebrity enthusiasm.
The awards are in the form of a fake raspberry on top of a Super 8 mm film reel, spray painted gold.
The most recent ceremony was held in Santa Monica last April. It was a notable Razzies because the movie Jack and Jill won every single award.
Adam Sandler won both worst actor and actress, and the movie itself beat out tough competitors like Twilight and Transformers. So it's not hard to understand why most actors wouldn't jump at the chance to accept the awards.
If you remember Halle Berry's Catwoman, then maybe you'd understand the nominations. Halle Berry won Worst Actress for the role and she went up and accepted the award while holding her Best Actress Oscar for Monster's Ball.
Why would she be such a good sport about it? Well according to her, "First of all, I want to thank Warner Brothers. Thank you for putting me in a piece of shit, god-awful movie... It was just what my career needed." So everything worked out for the best then.
