Rob McElhenney is the creator, executive producer and one of the stars of the hit TV comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

As anyone who has seen the show can attest, he doesn't hold back when it comes to comedy. Whether that means he's making a very unpolitically correct joke or more recently, gaining 50 pounds.

For the show's seventh season, McElhenney decided to pack on the pounds. He thought it would be funny to play his character, Mac, who is usually vain and in shape, as a fat man.

His costar, Charlie Day, said it was pretty disgusting watching McElhenney gain so much weight, and Day was concerned for his health. However, Day couldn't deny that it made Mac funnier.
