A TV station had its broadcast interrupted by a pirate signal of a masked man being spanked!

The Max Headroom broadcast signal intrusion was a television signal hijacking that occurred in Chicago, Illinois, on the evening of November 22, 1987.

It is an example of what is known in the television business as broadcast signal intrusion. The intruder was successful in interrupting two broadcast television stations within the course of three hours.

The broadcast showed a man in mask being spanked with a fly swatter. Despite investigations by the FCC and FBI, this became the only known incident in which a hacker interrupted a major TV broadcast without getting caught.

The hijack lasted for about 90 seconds. The man with the mask was spanked with a flyswatter by a man wearing a dress who ordered him to bend over.
