When Black Swan was first at movie theaters, no man wanted to go see it, until they knew there was a lesbian scene that involved Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis!

The pre-hyped lesbian sex scene in Black Swan got men and women to the theaters. The film grossed $1,394,265 in it's first week, and that was in a limited release at only 17 theaters.

Natalie Portman in an interview for Black Swan said ‘How do you get guys to a ballet movie? How do you get girls to a thriller?’ And the answer is a lesbian scene. Everyone wants to see that.”

So in fact she might be right! There is a reason why this movie won an Academy Award!
