John Larroquette is an American film, television and stage actor.
His roles include Dan Fielding on the 1984-1992 sitcom Night Court, Mike McBride in the Hallmark Channel series McBride, John Hemingway on The John Larroquette Show, Lionel Tribbey on The West Wing and Carl Sack in Boston Legal.
He has won several awards, including four consecutive Emmy Awards for his role in Night Court. His first 'job' in Hollywood was providing the opening voiceover narration for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974). Larroquette did this as a favor for the film's director Tobe Hooper.
However, the director insisted on paying him somehow, so he did the voiceover narration in exchange for pot in the end.
