Basement Bar and WanesCotting

Basement Bar and WanesCotting

This is my basement “Sports Den and Bar”. It has a 5 person wet bar (sink accessible at the laundry area) with refrigerator built in. All custom cabinetry was made from 3/4” birch plywood and face frame/ doors are select Pine. The wanescotting wraps all the way around the whole room. Framing, Plumbing, Painted black “industrial” ceiling, insulation, drywalling, custom cabinetry, custom bar, Wood floors, carpeting, Brick veneer walls, heavy Timber (look alike, you can see the structural post and beams are wrapped with distressed lumber to make the appearance of heavy timber construction), and all the finishing touches took 5 months and 1 day to complete on a Firefighter’s schedule. It is a great place to invite people over to watch the game or just throw back a few beers while watching a few games (bar has a tv too!!)

This was my first MAJOR start to finish basement in which I did all the sealing, plumbing, framing, electrical (with inspection), drywall, all the carpentry and woodwork, and design. The only thing I didn’t do was install the carpet. Those guys, along with drywall tapers are too good. Next time I will hire out the Mudding and Tapping.

Here are a few more to go with the originals…

Yes the walls are Honolulu Blue!!! GO LIONS!!!!

You can see the Black Ceiling really well there.

Wouldn’t you know it, HD doesn’t sell Floor to carpet transitions, so I had to make the transition molding for the wood floor on the table saw. Fairly easy actually, a lot easier than I thought.

Storage under the stairs, hidden in the wanescotting.

and Finally, Crown Molding.
