Take a look at the image and tell me how many blue dots you see. It’s a tough job, but I know you can do it!
Did you start to count all of the blue dots in between the red lines? Maybe you were being clever and multiplying to find out how many blue dots there are? Either way, what did you come up with? How many blue dots do you see?
My answer’s zero. I see no blue dots, because there aren’t any. The blue areas in this optical illusion aren’t dots at all, but small sections of perpendicular lines. The areas where the lines cross only appear to to blue dots.
