SCADpad – For the Crowded City Future
SCADpad, the latest project by the Savannah College of Art and Design asked students, faculty, and alumni to create a livable space that is the size of a parking space! This is what came of it.
These little spaces are a mere 16 feet long by 8 feet wide.
The project is a suggested solution to expensive city life.
Crowded cities, little housing, and traffic filled commutes are a problem already. When it’s easier to walk or to take public transportation than drive, wouldn’t you prefer to live in a small home that is closer?
How about the extreme? Lliving in an apartment right next to work the size of a parking spot!
The results are creative! The apartments span from places I’m sure I would be happy living in- fancy bathroom and all – to spaces styled after this true oddity:
I love these micro houses and if you want to learn more head over to the SCADpad Website or keep scrolling down for more pictures!
