I tried to build this sometime in the 1990s and failed miserably. When Archie posted his completed project I was motivated to pull the plans back out, redo the math, and try again. (Thanks Archie!) I scaled this one down for a 1/2” x 6” x 10” piece of Bubinga I had. When using 1/2” thick lumber it only takes 1/4 bf of wood so it’s a good use of scraps. I like puzzles and if anyone knows of any other 3-D ones like this (I’ve got a half-dozen burr puzzles in the works) please let me know where I can find plans.
