The KISS logo was initially different in Germany because it is said to glorify the Nazi SS logo!

Paul Stanley is credited with creating one of the most iconic Rock 'n Roll logos of all time for his world renowned band, KISS .

Stanley claims that although he was the one that carved the logo into a table in 1973, the logo was designed by Hand-letterer Michael Doret. Doret is also famous for making the logo for the New York Yankees.

The KISS logo has been symbolic internationally, except for one country, Germany. In 1980, the Kiss logo was altered in Germany because the "SS" resembles the logo for the Nazi SS. The German people claimed that the KISS logo glorified the former Nazi SS logo!

What do you think? Do the logos look the same?
