Rustic End Table

I made this for my wife as part of her Christmas gift. I designed it to hold a slot machine and to match the bedroom we’ve been redecorating. She loves it so much that she didn’t want to cover it up. So we relocated the machine. The cabinet is 3/4” birch ply with a Kona colored stain and poly on the shell with 4 coats varnish on the top. Then after much sawing / milling and a bit of puzzle practice, I attached the rough stuff ( a mixture of oak, birch, and some mystery wood from the roadside).

I think it came out pretty good. I was worried about adding exterior components but in the end it came together.
