JRR Tolkien started writing a book that would’ve linked Middle Earth to modern times!

What would it have been like for J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of The Lord of the Rings to write a book with an element of time travel?

The world will never know. Instead, the world is stuck with a small collection of chapters of Tolkien's unfinished book 'The Lost Road' which would have involved Time Travel, and linked the legends of Middle Earth to medieval Europe, and then to modern times.

The idea for The Lost Road first came to be when Tolkien and C.S. Lewis decided that one of them should write about Space Travel, and the other should write about Time Travel.

C.S. Lewis came up with a well known science fiction novel, 'Out of the Silent Planet' whereas Tolkien couldn't make his novel work saying that it "ran dry" after a few chapters!

There's A Musical About Jesus Set To Britney Spears Music

“Her discography is able to tell every part of the story we wanted to tell,” said the creator of “SPEARS.”

Napier Lopez / SPEARS

A musical about Jesus Christ set to the music of Britney Spears is seeking funding to reach a larger audience, and its creators hope it will appeal to the religious and pop culture fans.

"Originally, when I came up with the concept, I wanted to share that there are two ways to look at something," "SPEARS" creator Pat Blute said.

Though the idea began as a joke between Blute and his friends, they quickly realized it could become a serious project.

"There's a lot of intelligence to her repertoire," he said. "Her discography is able to tell every part of the story we wanted to tell."

Napier Lopez / SPEARS

The musical tells the story of Jesus Christ's birth, life, death and resurrection using only Britney Spears. Some songs retain the feel of the original versions, while others are reimagined with a gospel, opera or Broadway sound.

Both Jesus Christ and Britney Spears are people who mean different things to different people, said the Catholic Blute. Both are revered as icons by some, mocked by others, and often misunderstood.

SPEARS isn't meant to be offensive, Blute said, and will appeal to those with a religious background. "I hope people come away thinking that we could all just be a little more respectful of one another."

Much of Spears' music deals with themes of romantic love, loss and loneliness, which can be reinterpreted to describe the Christian idea of the love of God and Christ's crucifixion. Spears sang "my loneliness is killing me" in 1998's "...Baby One More Time"; in Matthew 27:46, while nailed to the cross, Jesus said "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Spears' 2000 song "Stronger" references her earlier hit when she sings "my loneliness is killing me no more/I'm stronger than yesterday." The song is sung following Christ's resurrection.

Maryland Police found drugs during a warranted search, except they were at the wrong apartment!

Maryland Police found drugs during a warranted search, except they were at the wrong apartment!

In one of the most confusing and unfortunate mix ups of all time, Maryland Police officers were given a warrant to search the '3rd floor apartment' intending to search the McWebbs apartment.

However, police were unaware that were two different apartments on the third floor. Instead of searching for drugs in the McWebbs residence, they were actually searching in the Garrison apartment. The police found drugs and tons of cash - which were what they were looking for.

Garrison brought up a 4th Amendment claim and said that police can't use the evidence found in the apartment against him in court, as the evidence was found by using a warrant for his apartment, but the police officers thought his apartment was someone else's!

The Supreme Court ruled that although police thought they were entering someone else's house, the warrant was still valid, and the drugs and cash found in the apartment can be used against Garrison in this particular legal case.
