sr-71 The SR-71 did more than just take pictures. It could aim its radar 45 degrees to the side, map the terrain like side scan sonar… intercept enemy comm and radar signals, record its entire flight path with infrared cameras… to prove to countries that it didnt violate their airspace.

The Brilliant And Funny Short Film 'Animator Vs. Animation IV' Imagines What Would Happen If A Stick Figure Came To Life

Talented high school student Alan Becker created his first Animator Vs Animated short - depicting the struggle between a stick figure and its creator - in 2006.

Now, thanks to Kickstarter, he's created the fourth instalment. And it's a gem.

Watch the stick figure hacking into his creator's Facebook account, getting into his iPhone via its USB cord and generally creating havoc. It even creates animations of its own - and that, in turn, leads to a very lovely ending.

The whole thing is clever, funny - and at times even rather dark. Bravo, Mr Becker. We look forward to episode IV!

Baby Elephant Falls On Its Back At Zürich Zoo, Adult Elephants Rush Over To Help

It's all happening at our new favourite alliterative attraction, Zürich Zoo.

Specifically, it's all happening at Zürich Zoo's Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park: where a baby elephant slipped over, ended up on its back - and was immediately helped by three adult elephants.

Yes, the only thing more heartwarming than the sight of a baby elephant is the sight of a baby elephant being rescued. Aww!

Luis Suarez Can't Stop Biting People In FIFA 15

Luis Suarez's vampiric escapade at this year's World Cup in Brazil was one of the bigger news stories to come out of the tournament. The result was a months long ban and a move to Barcelona for the player who - while talented - too often lets his emotions, and his teeth, get the better of him.

Now he's at it again. In virtual reality.

A number of players of EA's new football sim FIFA 15 have noticed that the digital version of Suarez just can't stop himself from chomping on other players - even though he's actually banned from the career mode of the game, just like in real life:

Yes, it's likely that this is just the glitchy FIFA graphics and physics engine playing up again - it wouldn't be the first time.

But it's nice to see too that EA's commitment to realism extends to the darker side of the sport, even if it's only by accident... http://ift.tt/eA8V8J
