The name of every number shares a letter with each of its neighboring numbers

The name of every number shares a letter with each of its neighboring numbers

English number words include numerals and various words derived from them, as well as a large number of words borrowed from other languages.

Since we were little, we’ve been taught how to count them, how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. What they probablyhaven’t told you is this curious fact about numbers.

In English, the name of every number shares a letter with each of its neighbors. One shares an O with two, which shares a T with three, which shares an R with four, which shares an F with five, which shares an I with six—and so on indefinitely.

Girl, You Got A Lumpy Butt

C’mon ladies, just because Santa brought you lumps of coal for Christmas doesn’t mean you need to smuggle them in your panties. Those aren’t the lovely lady lumps people refer to anyway.

Ranking The 107 Men Of "Sex And The City"

Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha dated and slept with more than 100 different men over six seasons. Here’s a ranking of all of them based on dateability: the good, the bad, and The Turtle.

The Turtle (Tim Wheeler)

The Turtle (Tim Wheeler)

Paired with: Samantha

First appearance: Season 1, Episode 9, "The Turtle and the Hare"

The verdict: The Turtle was Samantha's PR project. She was determined to turn one of New York's richest but most repugnant bachelors into someone dateable. And it worked — so well, in fact, that he decided to move onto someone new.

HBO

Len Schneider (Robert Lupone)

Len Schneider (Robert Lupone)

Paired with: Samantha

First appearance: Season 3, Episode 8, "The Big Time"

The verdict: Unctuous Len was an act of desperation, someone Samantha turned to when she thought she was going through menopause. Once she got her period, she bailed.

HBO

William (Robert Montano)

William (Robert Montano)

Paired with: Samantha

First appearance: Season 2, Episode 4, "They Shoot Single People, Don't They?"

The verdict: William was a total sleaze who promised to take Samantha on expensive vacations and turned out to be full of shit. But that should have been immediately apparent based on that smile alone.

HBO

Buster (James Urbaniak)

Buster (James Urbaniak)

Paired with: Charlotte

First appearance: Season 2, Episode 12, "La Douleur Exquise!"

The verdict: Buster and Charlotte didn't really date — he just let her try on some very expensive shoes for the chance to be close to her feet. It was a fine arrangement for a while, until it got too creepy.

iTunes had a different name before Apple purchased it.

iTunes had a different name before Apple purchased it.

iTunes has not always been property of Apple inc. This software that seems to never reach it's maximum upgrade has a story that backs all the way to the 1990s.

SoundJam MP was an early Mac OS compatible MP3 player and Rio-compatible hardware synchronization manager that was released in July 1998 and was available until June 2001.

Jeff Robbin and Bill Kincaid developed SoundJam MP with assistance from Dave Heller. Prior to working together on SoundJam MP, Jeff Robbin and Bill Kincaid had worked for Apple in the 1990s as system software engineers assigned to the Copland operating system, a project that was abandoned before completion.

Apple, Inc. purchased SoundJam MP in 2000 and further developed the code to create iTunes version 1.0.
