There's a sea-slug that eats venomous creatures and saves the venom for later use!

There's a sea-slug that eats venomous creatures and saves the venom for later use!

Glaucus-atlanticus is a species of small-sized blue sea slug.

This creature can be found in many places, places such as temperate and tropical waters. Regions where this slug is found include the East and South Coast of South Africa, European waters, the east coast of Australia and Mozambique.

These sea slugs feed on creatures including the venomous cnidarian, the Portuguese Man o' War. Because the sea slug stores the venom from the Portuguese Man o’ War within it's own tissues, a human picking up the sea slug may receive a very painful sting.

They might be very beautiful, but we suggest you watch out, especially if you try to put them in the palm of your hand just like in the picture.
