There are 10 landlocked countries that still have national navies!

A navy, by definition, protects a country by patrolling the seas and waging battles on water. It would make sense, then, that countries that are landlocked would not need a navy. However, this is not always the case.

These countries can still use a navy to protect it's lakes, rivers and other bodies of water - especially if that body of water forms a national border.

There are 10 such countries that have navies and yet are landlocked. They include Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Central African Republic, Kazakhstan, Laos, Paraguay and more. In Laos, for example, the navy protects the Mekong River. It operates two to three dozen patrol boats.

A TSA officer once let the CEO of Sega through saying: “I don't need to see your passport. You're the assh*le that gave away Shenmue to Xbox"

Peter Moore worked his way up the ranks of Sega, the gaming company. He reached the position of President and COO of Sega America.

Moore was proud of the success of the Dreamcast game console and how much fans loved it. He noted that the Shenmue fans in particular were very vocal fans.

Shenmue was a game developed in 1999 by Sega AM2. It utilized "FREE" gameplay: Full Reactive Eyes Entertainment. It allowed the player a great deal of freedom and interactivity. Later, Shenmue sequels were released by Xbox.

Moore reported that a TSA worker at Chicago's O'hare airport stopped him and said "I don't need to see your passport. You're the asshole that gave away Shenmue to Xbox." Talk about loyalty.

A man claimed to be the consultant that inspired the movie Taken! He was arrested for fraud!

A Maryland man who claimed for years to be a Green Beret was sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison for lying about his military service to obtain numerous contracts with public and private agencies.

William G. Hillar of Millersville, was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to court documents. He pleaded guilty to wire fraud as part of a plea agreement.

The FBI, DEA, and many other organizations paid tens of thousands of dollars to William Hillar, who claimed to be the real-life basis for Liam Neeson's character in Taken.

His story of attempting to save his daughter from sex traffickers, and his special-ops resume, were fabrications.

When Nazi concentration camps were liberated, gays weren’t considered victims and were excluded from reparations!

When Nazi concentration camps were liberated, gays weren’t considered victims and were excluded from reparations!

The Holocaust was horrifying. Jewish citizens were forced to live in unlivable conditions in concentration camps.

Some died, some were killed. After the Allied forces won WWII and the Germans were forced to surrender, concentration camp prisoners were freed. The new German government repealed a number of laws passed before and during the war.

However, while most concentration camp victims were liberated and now safe, some were not. In Germany at that time, it was illegal for a man over the age of 21 to have homosexual relations.

This law - Paragraph 175 - was not repealed after the war. Some homosexual citizens were forced to serve further time in prison. And they were not recognized as official Nazi victims therefore they received no compensation.

Homosexuality was decriminalized in 1969, but homosexuals murdered by the Nazis did not receive public acknowledgement until 1985.

Paragraph 175 was finally abolished in 1990, and in 2002, the German government passed legislation to fully pardon all those homosexual citizens convicted under Paragraph 175.
